If I put a shadow on an item I only get it let say at the bottom right of the item. But sometimes you want it on the top. Can anyone tell me how to do that? I work with PSE6.

I see some really beautiful layouts here on this community. I am in candyland, that is for sure. Thanks for all those great layouts!!

you change the degree in that little box next to the circle on the top of your shadow box thingy. wow...sorry, i am not good at answering questions. :)

if you want shadows coming from different directions on the same layout there is something else that you have to do and i have no idea what it is.

doooode. someone help us. :D

You would change the degree the shadow is set at. I usually set mine to -45 so that the shadow is on the top left.

I use PSE 6 (for now, getting ready to upgrade) and when I want to change the direction, I right click and do Edit Layer and then there is a circle at the top that shows the degree of the shadow. You can just move that line in the circle and it will move the shadow.

That would be some crazy light source to have shadows coming from different directions - I usually try to be consistent in my light source for a LO.

However, if you want a little bit of shadow sticking out from all sides, you have to increase the spread of your shadow. Not sure if this is an option in PSE, I use PS.

I am new to this myslef..but I always add my shadows and such before I drag onto my actual layout. I usually use a -45 too
