And the elf saga continues...

So I thought after Christmas that Christopher Pop-In-Kins (our elf) would just be a memory.

My son has other plans. Last night he wrote him a letter that we had to "mail" today with space for him to answer questions.

When is your birthday? Has it passed? Do you even have a birthday? How are you doing?

So he puts it in the mailbox, I take him to school, I come home and remove it from the mailbox. Now I have typed out a response, printed it on the letter, made a new envelope with a North Pole stamp and will put it in the mailbox later this week for him to get after school.

I thought I'd get a year before we would be making this elf do things again! :)

LOL! SO sweet! :p When Buddy drew on our kids' gallery prints in the living room with dry erase marker, we never erased it off. My MIL stopped in this weekend and was wondering why Naomi had a mustache. I can't bring myself to erase them. Every time I see it, I have Christmas in my heart.

That's funny. My son is still talking about his elf too. He really got attached to him this year and loved all of the crazy things he did.

Elvin usually visits for a few days in late June. He shows up with powdered donuts & red milk & a note saying he's missed them & is just stopping by visit & see how they are doing.

Awww As much as I enjoy the facts that kids have grown up and can do their own things, I miss doing these things with them. Last year was the first time we didn't make gingerbread house! :( I need to come up with things for teenage kids!

Ripal we had a cocoa party this year and everyone loved it (had several teenagers here including my 20 year old daughter and her 21 year old husband). We had planned to watch christmas movies but we more or less just talked alot

We usually work on jigsaw puzzles over the Christmas break. That's been our tradition for last few years. I'm sure we'll keep that one going for few more years!

Our elves (each kid has their own elf) have a facebook page so the kids send them messages through facebook and ask them questions. Last year they came to visit for every holiday. This year I'm lazy. I'll let them come in May for my son's half birthday and in June for my daughter's birthday. When they come the kids spend a week or so playing with them.

I think it's super cute btw.....

We didn't do an elf last year cuz I was late to the party. LOL But, I want to do one this year.

Today worked out to be the best day for him to be able to check the mail so the elf replied. :)
