an update on Sara and her family...

i'm so sorry to hear this. i will continue to think about them. i hope he has a change of heart on the chemo. my dad is on chemo for stage 3 esophogeal cancer right now and i have to tell you he is doing fabulously on it. no nausea, little fatigue, maintaining his weight. chemo these days is very different than 10 years ago.

I totally agree on this! My FIL went thru chemo last year and if you were visiting him without the knowledge that he had cancer, you wouldn't have known that he was even remotely sick. He didn't loose any weight, no nausea, no fatigue, no hair loss... We had to force him to take rest or lay down because we felt that he would be tired. But he hardly did anything different than what he did before we found out that he had cancer.

I do agree that each cancer is different and have different outcome, but at the same time, wanted to give you hope that not all treatment are rough on your body. FIL had lympho cancer.

So sorry to hear this! My sister is the same way - she has vowed to never do chemo. She did a lot of research when her fiance' had cancer and came to that conclusion.

Prayers sent to all of you to find a way through this.

Omgosh, I must've missed earlier threads :( I'm sending lots of love and positive thoughts to Sara, her husband and the rest of the family!

I'm so sad to hear that things are not going as well as they were hoping. I too hope that Jeff will do some serious research about the chemo before he writes it off completely, but it's obviously his decision to make. Big HUGS to Sara! I can't imagine how hard this is to deal with.

So sorry to hear this! I love you, Sara!! I know it's hard and discouraging, but don't give up. Miracles happen every day, and I truly believe in the power of prayer. You guys have A LOT of people praying for you! Let us know if there's anything else we can do. Much love to you and your family!

Sending up sooo many prayers for you & your family, Sara. I am so sorry to hear this turn of events. Please, if there is anything we can do to help, let us know!

My husband is watching me cry like a baby as I read this. I'm so sad for them. They are very much in my thoughts and prayers, May God's plan be clear to them and may they have the strength to follow it.

My heart hurts for them and the tough decisions they are having to face. I will keep them both in my prayers.
