An update on my husband and a huge thank you

First I wanted to say thank you for your continuing positive thoughts and prayers for myself and my husband.

My husband was released yesterday evening against doctor's advice. He has shown some improvement as he is not coughing much anymore. He is still getting out of breath frequently but it seemed to have improved a small amount too.

The culture they were waiting on did not have anything grow after four days & the CT scan did not show much either. There were multiple things that the doctors were able to eliminate which were the more serious issues. So I'm really thankful that the more serious things he could have been diagnosed with were eliminated. That however means that they are not any closer to a diagnosis. The doctor now wants to do a scope to look at his lungs that way.

Since he was released against doctor's orders my husband told the doctor if he started getting any sicker he would head back up to the hospital. So my hopes are the new medications and inhalers he was prescribed on discharge will keep him stable until the pulmonologists can give a more definitive answer on his condition and the treatment for it.

I will continue to keep you in my thoughts and prayers. I hope they are able to figure this out soon.

I'm glad they were able to rule out some of the more serious problems, but how frustrating that you're still no closer to an answer! Keeping you and your husband in my thoughts.

I hope he gets better, but that scope might just be the key to all the answers! Hang in there.

Glad he is able to be at home now! And also that more serious things are out of the way. Sending PT's that he will continue to improve!
