So this new way they're doing it - not sure if I like it or not..b/c what happens if one group has 6 or 7 fabulous singers and then another doesn't have any...kwim?

Anyway...no one except Danny really stood out to me tonight...some were embarrassingly bad..like the girl who did the Police song...had to ff through that one I felt so bad for her.

Tatiana cracks me up..she's such a loony toon lol

The girl with the pink in her hair was good too..I'm thinking her/Danny and maybe Anoop make it through
 
Love Danny. I like Anoop, too. The guy from NC was surprisingly good (Braddy?), but since he's not been on the show, I doubt he stands a chance. I like the pink hair girl. I was disappointed by the oil rig guy...I liked him.

I don't like how they're doing it...I know they'll get 9 from votes and then I'm guessing the judges will pick the other 3? I don't think it's fair that the top guy and top girl from each group make it. What if 6 guys are ahead of the 1st girl? KWIM? It will be interesting to see.

Tatiana is a trainwreck. I'm so afraid she'll move on b/c people like voting that way. Yes, she can sing, but geez. :blink:
 
I loved Danny, the chick with the pink in her hair and that Anoop dude, even though I wasn't feeling his song.

That poor poor girl who sang The Police....wow. Her facial expressions and dancing were painful to watch even as pretty as she is!
 
Can someone tell me how they are doing it different? I missed the first 15 minutes of the show.
 
Paula - for each group of 12 the top guy/girl will go through and then the next highest vote after those 2 whether it be guy/girl. Then they said something about a "wild card" episode where 3 more will be chosen (maybe by the judges?) to make up the top 12..
 
Wow, that young 16 year old, Stevie (is that her name?) was REALLY BAD.

Danny
and hopefully Michael, he's my guy, even though he wasn't fabulous last night.

I really liked Anoop too, and was quite irritated that most all of the singers I liked are in one group!
 
So yeah, last night was a train wreck for so many of them. Most notably, that girl who sang the police...yeah..um, winking won't save that vocal sista. And the 16 YO who sang Taylor Swift...she sounded like she had a cold, and that she was "acting" 16. Like most of you: Alexis, Danny, and Anoop.

BTW...who else was really weirded out by the "new" Tatiana? I mean, it made me feel all freaked out and shizz...I hope she doesn't make it.
 
Clearly Danny and Alexis were the frontrunners. That Braddy guy really sings amazingly well, but he's never connected with the audience. Maybe we'll see him come back for the wild card round. I was truly embarrassed for a few of the performances. Can I just say that the 80s don't look good on most people? Why do we insist on wearing butt-ugly clothes? I was really waiting for Tatiana to do something completely ridiculous, but she (annoyingly) stayed subdued and sang fairly well. Dangit.
 
Here's the thing with Tatiana.
She's a freak. Grade A, #1, 100% schizo.
HOWEVER...girl's got MAD vocals skills. So.....if she made it through I guess I wouldn't be too upset.
But if she made it through in place of Alexis, I would be pissed.
 
i'm with most here too, i only cared for alexis (pink hair girl, right?), anoop and danny.

i also hate how they are doing it this season.

man...some did just terrible. stevie...whoa!! that police chick...holy crap!!

she is beyond crazy and not *that* good. mandy...keep it real.

I despise her yet her performance was pretty good last night.
She's a wierdo for sure, but...I dunno. Wierdo's deserve a chance too right? I mean...do we remember Sanjaya? Boy couldn't sing worth a damn but he lasted F-O-R-E-V-E-R.

This season is going back to sort of how they did things in the early seasons. I think then there were 4 groups of 6 that sang and the top girl and boy from each group went on. Then the judges picked people to sing in a wild card episode where I think each judge picked someone to move on as well as the highest vote getter to make the top 12. The interesting thing was in season 2 Clay Aiken got through on the wild card because the top two people in his group of 6 were Ruben and Kimberley Locke. So yes, all the good people can end up being in one group. :D

I'm curious for this season if the wild card round will have 12 people singing with 3 going through? I don't think they really said but that would mean that potentially four people from each group of 12 could have a chance to sing again in the wild card round.
