Am I the only one?

That gets bothered seeing LOs in the gallery that use designs from other places and are NOT challenge LOs?

It clearly states in the gallery guidelines that you can use the gallery providing 1)you are using SSD products OR 2) you are doing an SSD challenge.

Ok, tell me that I'm just being silly and to go on about my merry way! LOL It just BUGS me! lol

well those are the rules. clearly not everyone is reading the guidelines. as far as i see from other galleries our rules are a little more strict so i think people just aren't informed. i hear ya though.

but can't we have things form other designers if we have SSD designers stuff too? all on one layout that is.

i would pm robin just to be sure, but i'm pretty sure if you use little things here and there your ok. just as long as the main focus of the gallery is to show off sweet shoppe stuff...ya know.

Sure you can Dawn. I've just seen a few LOs today that have NO SSD stuff on them and they weren't challenge LOs.

phew - ok then I am good :) but I think most of mine are challenge layouts anyway - gotta get those points! hehe

I can relate to that. LOL I think I'm at my 30, I need to see when Meg updates the tally. LOL

i almost only buy SSD products, or use my CT stuff. I have been venturing out to other places here lately, but haven't bought much so i think i'm good. as for points, i'm falling behind this month. I've gotten my 40% off for the last 2 months, but this month i've been trying to get caught up on my CT LO's so i haven't done as many challenges. I think i'm at 13 points right now, lol

I think the problem is that not everyone takes the time to read the guidelines before posting. The staff does try to keep an eye out for layouts that are not within the guidelines but if you see any that have been missed please let us know. I think if you use the Report Photo feature in the gallery it will send a notice to the admins.

Oh I try to even has atleast a little something from SSD in my challenge layouts. It just doesn't seem right to post it here. If you just want to post all your layouts then go to another gallery. I'm sure most of us have more then just here.

My philosophy is that if it doesn't have enough Sweet Shoppe product that is noticeable, I don't post it here. That's what DigiShop Talk and MSA are for - they are not shop-specific. If I do the Digi-Dare, 9 times out of 10 I don't post it here (that 1 time usually means I used quite a bit of Sweet Shoppe product). I try to adhere to that rule at all other shops' galleries, too, unless they specifically state they are open to other shops' products being shown on LOs. I do use other shops' products on my LO's here, but they are not the focal products used...
Some people just don't use common-sense. And I think some people misinterpret their CT requirements to post in other galleries and ignore the rules at some stores' galleries.

That's what I do Leslie. If I do a LO for a CT not here and it isn't for a challenge, I upload it elsewhere.

I think generally people are really good about the gallery guidelines, but I'm sure a few sneak in here and there.

I know the only layouts of mine that have been other designer/shoppe centric (and these are very very few) are for challenges. And I try to even stick to SSD products for those too. I think most of the active people who are familiar with the guidelines do the same. :)

When I was on a non-SSD ct, I would use their product for a challenge LO, to try and reach a few new ppl possibly.

But I'm like some of hte others here too. If it's not for a challenge, and doesn't use SSD, it doesn't get uploaded. In the beginning I had some LO's removed cuz I didn't think it was a big deal. So I'm sure ppl just make the mistake once and then learn from it.
