Altered/Recycled Berry Baskets

I have about 5 plastic strawberry 1 lb baskets that I can't recycle because they are the wrong # plastic for my area. So...I've been holding on to them to make something.

Here's my first one...what do you think?

I'm always hoarding containers for little projects. I have a whole shopping bag full of them in the garage. Peanut cans, Pringle cans, plastic boxes like these, other packaging that can be re-purposed. I think it's fun to reuse something rather than pitch it. These days gift recipients actually appreciate that you reused/recycled rather than buying something 100% new. I hope this sparks a new idea for you!
