Alright, who stole my Shabby Princess folder???

Oh my! I went to open a SP kit yesterday and my WHOLE FOLDER is gone. WTH? I wonder if I accidently drug it into another folder? I can't imagine I deleted it. Has anyone ever done this? I'm so annoyed!!!!
 
Maybe you just dragged the whole thing into another folder. I've done that more times than I can count. I am crossing fingers for you, that's where it is!

I think you dragged it somewhere.

You can do a search, SP is pretty good at naming conventions.

Her latest one (Carousel) was named SP_Carousel_*.png or SP_Carousel_*.jpg (* replaces whatever the element/paper is)

So if you use the bolded font in your search like that it should show up.

Unless you rename your kits and files.

Hey that's a great tip!

After I backed up a ton of stuff to DVD, I was deleting things off my HD. I went to delete my Weeds and Wildflowers folder (since it HAD been backed up) and accidentally deleted the Sweet Shoppe folder instead. Most of it was on cd's, and the rest is on my EHD at home. I still haven't gotten it all restored to my HD, lol.
 
I spend my day searching, it is such a great feature....I hope you find it, otherwise I have a bunch of SP stuff I could share with you (no, no, no...that would be wrong :blink: )
 
PS

it depends on how you unzip your folders.

If you right click and say extract to * (again * replaces name of zip file)
it will create a folder and inside that is the actual zipped folder (for lack of better terms I will call it a shell folder)

--- this can possible cause you (at least I do) to drag the folder inside that shell folder elsewhere, leaving you an empty folder it happens to me all the time!

Whereas, a recent eureka moment, if you say extract here, it will just unzip the files without creating an extra folder to hold the zipped files.
 
Oh my gosh, I sometime hate how easy it is to drag and drop folders in Windows Explorer.......I've done this accidently SOOOO many times!
 
Yeah, I'm thinkin' I prolly drug it somewhere. Cause there's no empty folder.. juust NO folder.

Searching. Ok, I'll try that. I have Smarshmellows, so I'll look under that. If anyone else has that kit and would like to share the name of the file I'd appreciate it!
 
Once in a while I run into empty folders that I KNOW I didn't delete...hate that! It's like the info just goes *poof* off my hard drive. Ugh!
 
I did this same thing the other day and I actually did delete it. I'm so annoyed that I did this. Of course it's stuff I keep wanting to use now.
 
if you use windows, open your "my computer" folder and search for it. I had made burn files on my laptop for hubby to burn before we reformat, and I KNOW I had made 10 folders, yet burn 5 was missing. So I did a search, and presto ... there it was ... INSIDE a folder, inside a folder, in burn 1 folder. lol NO clue how it got there.
 
Oh no! I've drug my files into other files more times that i care to think of and every time i freak out until i get it safely back where it belongs! LOL Hope you find it :)
