what are you plans for the weekend?

i'm going into survival mode.
DH is laid off. madelyn is off school thursday, friday, (the weekend) and monday. emma is out of school friday and monday.

we HAVE to do something fun.

It's the first weekend that Cheyanne hasn't had baskteball since the beginning of NOVEMBER! And she has invitational tournaments for the next 3 weekends after this weekend so we are going away for 2 nights :w00t:

Nothing fancy but she is on school vacation starting Friday so we are headed to the "big city" 2 hours south of us for 2 nights at a motel and some serious retail therapy :D Can't wait to kick back and relax at the hotel, do some swimming and relax in the whirlpool, eat out at our favorite spots down there, and buy some new clothes, shoes, accessories, etc. :D

Big fat nothing! I spent last weekend running errands and taking Avery to his DORE assessment. Other than church we aren't leaving the house.

taxes... ugh.... FIL is coming over (my hubby does ours, his dad's, my dad's, and his step sister's taxes... every year...) So I'm in a mad dash to clean house... and then come Saturday - I'm pretty much left to my own devices - as long as the evil MIL doesn't come - but if she does, I'm assuming she will go spend the day with her "real" grandson (she is FIL's second wife). The good is that I don't have to cook on Saturday, FIL will be taking us out for dinner as a thank you to DH for doing his taxes... :w00t:

Sunday - church and then I hope NOTHING! But I know hubby will want to go to the parade of new homes... *sigh* Then I get all depressed in that I hate my house... haha

We are going to the Florida Renaissance Festival!!! I'm super excited. Fairies, royalty, wenches, knights, wizards, maidens, townspeople... it's sort of a mix between historical cosplay & fantasy. Excellent food, fun shows, man-powered rides, jousting knights, etc. We didn't go last year because we happened to be sick or busy the weekends it was in town, so I'm really looking forward to it this year. :D

Sounds like fun Brook! I can't wait for warmer weather and festival season up here.

Well, we just got home from vacation, so I'm trying to get life back to normal. Lots of cleaning, organizing, and photo editing in my future.

We are also going to continue on bathroom remodel. We've almost got one finished. We will probably tear the other one out and start retiling my laundry room. I'm pretty nervous that I will be left without a washer and dryer for an extended period of time! Ek.

We were supposed to be having a party for my girls' birthdays on Saturday, but since we've had the sickie since last TUESDAY, (seriously why cant they all get it at once and be done at once) we've canceled the party and will be heading out to my aunt's ranch bright and early Saturday morning to watch the branding, and the kids can't stop talking about it, they are so excited.

My little brother and SIL are home from college for the weekend as well, so we'll probably try to get a dinner in with the family.

Probably do a little tax prep/filing/paperwork stack organizing on Sunday or Monday.

It's sunny and 'spring' like around here, so time out in the sunshine is mostly what the agenda will consist of.

This weekend........Friday (kids are in their school) so I am going to the gun range in the morning to shoot my new gun, and in the afternoon I will be going to Landon's school for their vday party. The teachers were smart and held it off until tomorrow so they didn't have to deal with them the next day! LOL Saturday, I am going to my concealed carry class/range/qualification. Steve is hanging with boys all day. I have suggested zoo but we will see. Sunday will be church and small group. And monday kids out of school so I will probably do something fun with them. I just don't know what that is yet. :)

Not much. We are keeping it low key. I had today off work and tomorrow as well (kids are in school, I just took personal days) and we're off Monday so I am hoping to get a lot of projects done around here.

We have absolutely no plans for this weekend. I know my husband will just want to relax after a super busy week at work. I have my WW meeting and groceries on Sat. morning and church on Sunday.

I've have some chores I'd love to get done. (well I don't really want to do them I just don't want them hanging over my head.) I desperately need to go grocery shopping. Ken and Ainsley have a date night on Friday because they missed the Father/Daughter Dance for the first time ever (because of my trip). Keiran's going to her military ball (she's in Air Force JROTC) on Saturday so there will be much dolling up and preening going on :P. The girls don't have school Monday, I'd love to declare it a veg day but we'll just have to see how things play out.

Monkey is getting her hair cut and I'm getting my brows done on Saturday and then we're going to Bible study that evening. We haven't been able to meet since November, so I'm looking forward to yummy eats (everyone is assigned a type of dish) and non-workelated adult conversation while everyone's kiddos play in the house across the street.

I'm also planning on taking Monkey to the Y to swim on Sunday after church. Our parent + child swim class starts next month, and I want to get her more used to the pool/having so many kids around/the chaos before it starts.

No clue what DH is doing. Prolly studying and/or vegging out in front of the TV since we don't have his son this weekend.

Oh, and National Random Acts of Kindness Day is Sunday, and what I'm planning on doing as my new thing for my fourth week of New52, so I need to brainstorm some things to do with Monkey for that.

I work on Saturday and Sunday, but I have off on Monday. I am going to get a massage followed right after with chiropractor. I am tired of being in pain and hoping this works. Other than that, no clue what else we will do.

((HUGS)) Natalie! I have had an awful week too! The weekend can not come fast enough!!!

Amen to that statement. I was ready to be done with this week on Tuesday. I have my fingers crossed that tomorrow will be half way decent.

So as an end to my crappy week, I have Shingles. Had no idea what they were or that you could just wake up with them and be in so much pain from them, but there you are. I did get some good drugs though, so my weekend plans are to sleep and hopefully heal. I should have known when I hit that Skunk on Monday that the entire week was gonna stink. :(

OMGee, Lorie!!! :( I'm so sorry!!! My father had shingles recently and it was very painful for him. I hope the meds help you & that you heal up quickly! :hugs:

We're buying a new fridge! :w00t::w00t::w00t:

I've been badgering DH for 2 years about the need for a new fridge. It came with the house 15 years ago & was not new then. The fruit/veggie drawers broker off their sliders ages ago so one is unusable & the other has to be manhandled open. The retaining bar on the bottom shelf of the door has been held on with duct tape for so long I can't recall when it actually broke. Half the ice maker no longer makes ice so the ice cubes pile up at the back and form a solid block and lately the interior shell has developed small cracks that don't affect the coldness of the fridge yet but cannot be good for the electric consumption.

I put my foot down when he did the taxes last month and insisted the money go to a fridge & not whatever random project he had in mind like the last 2 years running. It's MY TURN to spend the money! :p

I found a white french door fridge in the correct non-normal width with milk gallon sized door shelves and with NO on door water/ice dispenser on sale and we're making the hour drive to the nearest Sears to buy it Saturday. Probably won't be delivered until late next week but it will be purchased!

Sunday we are getting together with another family for two family game night since all the kids are off school Monday

Abby is at a girl scout sleepover thing tonight, I pick her up at 8:15 tomorrow morning, we are having JJ's carnival party with his friends tomorrow, Abby has a bday party at 2 pm, and then I'm collapsing to watch the Sprint Unlimited nascar race. Sunday I don't think I'm leaving my house.

We're finally redoing the playroom! We're halfway through and loving the change so far. It's been boring white with dark wood paneling since we moved in...7 years ago. Now it will all be a soft gray with dark gray furniture, white trim, and red accents. DH and I have put off home projects forever since it's so hard to get them done with the kids around, but today he took off work so we could at least have the morning to work on it uninterrupted while all 3 kids were at school. It went well enough that we might even be willing to tackle the next project on our list in a few weeks instead of a few years. :)
