algebra help???

It has been a really long time since I did algebra...neither my son or daughter needed help with it when they were in high school but now my youngest does and I am totally lost. I got really good grades in school but looking at the problems now is like trying to understand a foreign language Any online resources to get help for me to explain it better to him? I hated helping any of my kids with math because the way I explain it to them is nothing like how they are learning it and it gets confusing...they get frustrated...I get frustrated. So yea I need help...Thanks in advance!!:wub:
