Album Quickpages survey

Ok how many of you do or would buy an album for a kit previously released that maybe didn't come with a FWP or one you didn't have the chipboard album for.

Do you have the chipboard albums stocked up waiting for the right pages? If so, what do you have most of (circle, heart, etc).

If you were willing to buy an album what would be the ideal price range?

Thanks!!

Let's see

1) I wouldn't go buy an album. I'm more apt to make one myself with the kit.

2) I do have lots of chipboard waiting. Just about 1 of everything. My favorite are the layered, and Abby and Jack. And I want lots more, but I have to force myself to use some of what I've got first :p

3) Buy the album or the chipboard album? For the digital album, I might purchase them on their own for $5, but nothing more than that. Chipboard, I dunno. I think the prices here are really competitive, so no complaints there :)

1. No I wouldn't unless it was a standard 12x12 quickpage album or pages. I never buy a kit just because of the FWP's. I've only used maybe 2 of them, but I REALLY miss quickpages :)

2. I have about 1 maybe 2 of several of the sizes. I've bought more of the mini tag and heart albums.

3. Around $5.00 or less.

It is very unlikely that I'd go buy an album later. I do like some of the FWP albums and I actually made the album I got free with Zoe's Bloom and Grow. The shape of the album has something to do with whether I'll use it. I don't like doing strange shapes that take too much time to sand and ink the edges. The layered, square, circle albums are easy and I'm more likely to do them but I probably wouldn't go buy the QPs for them.

I have a few square albums right now, plus the Basic Grey Bracket album. I plan on purchasing the heart chipboard album soon. They're really cute. Ones I probably won't do: star (too many edges to sand), house, artistic scroll, butterfly, classic scroll... not that they're not cute, just too much work... I am lazy. lol! So, I definitely wouldn't ever need QPs for those. It would be nice to have a bigger selection of BG bracket album QPs.

I might pay $5 for the QPs if I had to go buy them and couldn't make them myself.

1) No, I won't go back and purchase previously released ones cause I can get FWP ones later. Except I have an arrow shaped ones sitting around and no albums to use them for, so I might have to go and purchase one if the program is discountinued. Though I personally buy on Saturday new releases because of the FWP, if it doesn't come with one, I wait for Sweet Rewards and don't buy it then.

2) I have about 22 albums sitting around now, but they are all allotted for albums I am making for Christmas presents. I really like the smaller ones (tag, heart, etc), but I also have some of the larger ones (bracket, luggage tag, 4x6 accordian, Abby, etc).

3) I would pay $3-$4 for them if I need one.

I would not go back and buy it. I rarely use them - when they came with the kits - it was just nice to know if I had to have something quick I could use that.

I only have one album right now and that's for the challenge this month -- although I really have no idea what I'm doing...lol

I would pay about $3-$5 if I needed one.

I have been considering buying 12x12 page quick-page sets to help finish up a book, or to get a book done quickly ... but I usually want more than one picture on a page and lots of pages tend to have just one photo, so I don't typically end up buying them.

I have never made one of the chipboard albums ... they look beautiful, but I don't have the chipboard, glue, ribbons and all that stuff, and I just can't justify the cost. So, I print 8x8 pages and stick 'em in a book ... and I will be getting my first book printed soon.

If you were willing to buy an album what would be the ideal price range? It would need to cost less than the kit used to create the album ... no more than $5 though.

Probably doesn't count for much since I've never made one, but there ya go! :)

Hi
I am an avid brag book scrapper. I don't always have time to scrap a real page, but I try to make something everday(a little treat that I give to myself for doing my work.....yes, I need to bribe myself. I am as bad as my kids!).

1) how many of you do or would buy an album for a kit previously released that maybe didn't come with a FWP or one you didn't have the chipboard album for. --Yes. Count me in here! But, I have to say that I often will buy a new kit the week it is released rather than wait because of the FWP.

2) Do you have the chipboard albums stocked up waiting for the right pages? If so, what do you have most of (circle, heart, etc). I have some... and have been known to ask the waiters for chipboard coaster at restaurants(shameless!). My husband has been trained now to ask without me prompting now and routinely collects them for me... heehee. They make great 3x3 square or circle albums. But, to answer your question: square(mini-accordian size-4x4), circles, and the rectangle(accordian-4x6 size). I don't use the more complex shaped ones simply because it is too much work to sand and ink! (like the bird, or house shapes or the abby album)

3)If you were willing to buy an album what would be the ideal price range? Depends on how many pages came in the kit. Probably around $5 for a standard 10-16 page kit. Probably $7-8 for a larger kit--like an alphabet one. It is also really nice to have journaling pages and plain back pages already made with stitching, or some sort of border.

More of my 2 cents! I make A LOT of 4x6 pages to put into the little slip in plastic albums for the kids and nicer albums for my parents too. This way, whenever I make a page, I can add them to the book, or send them to my Ps so that they can do the same. My little preschooler has one that he keeps in his cubbie for when he misses home and has one in his emergency kit. I would love to see more accordian book/brag book sized sets. (sorry, that this may not even be part of your question!).

It is aslo really nice how some of the designers have 2 versions of some of their pages included-one with a specific themed tag and one without. Most of the SSD designers do this--thanks, guys! It is MUCH appreciated and makes the kit more versatile. Or, if a mini element kit were included-one or two tags, a little word art, or other small embellies that match. Not nec more than 5 addditonal items, just to make it easy to personalize.

Oh, and I am making more of the little 2x3 pages that you slip into the plastic ID holders. Sorry that this response is long! And, sorry if my rambling took us to places that were not even part of the question!

I probably wouldn't go buy one separately. I love a few of the FWP ones I have, but I haven't used them. I like the idea of hybrid better than I like the time spent on cutting, etc. If I need a quick gift I'm more likely to buy standard sized QPs that I could slip into an album. Hybrid takes me too long. I have done hybrid, but only when I have lots of time to invest and wouldn't need premade pages.

I have a few albums for projects I have planned but not gotten around to yet. I have mini-tag, bracket, and a few square board books. Like someone said earlier, I'm only interested in the ones that are easier to cut.

If you were willing to buy an album what would be the ideal price range?
Significantly less than the cost of the kit it was made from. I won't get as much use from an album as I would from the kit, so I won't pay as high a price.

Probably not. If I have the kit, I'll make the album myself. The FWP doesn't necessarily push me over the edge to buy a kit, either. It's nice, but it's not my determining factor. Now.. if it's a themed kit, then I think it's nice to have an album.. because if I'm buying a themed kit then I have something specific I'm using it for.... and I would usually like to make a little album for the same thing... kwim?

I wouldn't say I'm stocked up but I have some handy. My favorites are layered, heart, circle and tag.

$4-$5

Honestly, I wouldn't buy an album for a previously released kit. Maybe, if *really* needed it I might, but in that case I would probably just make an ablum myself.

I don't have any of the chipboard albums and I can't see myself purchasing any of them. I think they are absolutely adorable but I personally won't be making any of them. I've pretty much stopped downloading the FWP ablums that come with the kits I've bought because I have no use for a shaped album if I'm never going to make one. (I did use a few as pieces on a 12x12 LO though)

Truly, I really miss the 4x6 and 5x7 albums that sometimes used to come FWP. Those I really did use because they are so easy and cheap. No cutting, no adhesive, no inking/sanding. No exta work, no extra expense. Just need a brag book album (which you can buy as cheap as $1!) and to print them out. I sent several of these to my mom and she loved them. I'm on a tight budget so they were really fun, time-effective and cost-effective projects for me. I could actually see myself purchasing these for kits that had been previously released because they were so nice and easy! I would be willing to pay $5-7 for one easily!

I was going to type out exactly this . . .

1) I would be willing to buy quickpages for a few of the kits I have already purchased, to help speed up finishing my scrap backlog. That way I could personalize/embellish with the goodies from the kit. Not the chipboard sizes, though - 4x6, 5x7, 12x12, 8.5x11, please! I wholeheartledly agree with Tabatha here:

2) I have no chipboard albums, and frankly do not see myself buying any. Unlike the lovely talented hybrid ladies here, I have neither the skills nor patience nor time to complete one of these so that it looks good.

Like CA Dreamer, I am making the 2x3 size albums that you can slip in name badge sleeves, though. Much more my speed and ability.

Hope this helps! Thanks for asking, Meghan!

I may be a little bit biased because these little albums are part of my income! BUT, here is my opinion anyway... :)

Ok how many of you do or would buy an album for a kit previously released that maybe didn't come with a FWP or one you didn't have the chipboard album for.
I may possibly buy a shaped album, it just depends on what the theme is and if I have an immediate need for an album and don't have time to make it myself. I do use the pre-made pages on my 12x12 pages sometimes. I would be MUCH more likely to go back and purchase 12x12 QPs from a kit I already have than a shaped album. The shaped albums are great for gifts, but the QPs would be great for my everyday scrapping and ginormous backlog of photos waiting to be scrapped!

Do you have the chipboard albums stocked up waiting for the right pages? If so, what do you have most of (circle, heart, etc).
I have one or two chipboard albums hanging out waiting to be made into something... honestly, it probably never happen! I bought a scalloped edge album and I do NOT have the patience or skill to cut out a scalloped edge layout ONCE let along 12 of them! :)

If you were willing to buy an album what would be the ideal price range?
Knowing how much work goes into these albums, I would say that $5-$7 would probably be a good price.

My unsolicited opinion on the FWP program... I would think that you would be better off with free 12x12 QPs or a brag book and then offering a shaped album for special themed kits, like holidays. Or even offering shaped albums separately. They are going to appeal to hybrid girls who are in a hurry and you'll probably get more interest around Christmas when people are desperate for gift ideas.

1) I suppose it's possible that if I were looking for something specific that I might go back and buy one, but in the past, if I thought I might use the album and it came with the kit on the Saturday release, it sometimes pushed me into getting the kit & album when it came out. With the FWP, I've bought things I thought I *might* use (and have a few that I haven't gotten around to), whereas to go back and buy an album from an older kit would likely only happen if it was exactly what I was looking for and was sure I would use. (Which is probably in general just less likely to happen)

2) I have a few heart albums that I bought thinking I would be using them, but didn't get around to. I think I have usually bought the chipboard to match the FWP items that I was getting - so the album itself comes first for me, then the chipboard. I'm with everyone else who's said that they like the simple shapes better - I can barely handle getting everything adhered and sanded to an easy layered or tag album! I think I like the layered, mini tag, and heart shapes best. (On the non-chipboard side, I also like the idea of some variety in albums that don't necessarily tie to the chipboard shapes - such as 5x7, 4x6, badge album, etc...)

3) probably around $5 or so...

I'm with the others who say that they prefer the "traditional" sizes (12x12, 4x6, etc) I've picked up a number of quickpage albums over the past few months to use for several free Shutterfly book coupons I received. And I love doing brag book albums for quick gifts so I could always use those, too.

The recent shaped albums are all very cute but I just don't really have the time to put together one of them. Much easier to slip pages into albums or upload them to Shutterfly :)

I haven't gotten really into the albums yet, but I'll give you my opinion anyways :p

Ok how many of you do or would buy an album for a kit previously released that maybe didn't come with a FWP or one you didn't have the chipboard album for. I love getting the album with a kit I buy, but I most likely wouldn't buy them separate unless for a specific occasion.

Do you have the chipboard albums stocked up waiting for the right pages? If so, what do you have most of (circle, heart, etc).
No, lol, I only have 1 I've bought so far and haven't used it yet, still having printer issues. If this first one turns out, I'll definately buy up some chipboard tho, for the albums I do have.

If you were willing to buy an album what would be the ideal price range?
I'd say 3-5$

If I had a working printer here right now, I'd definately have some of these done already, they're so cute! They're great for gifts, and I have one put together on the pc already for my mom.
