This is Scarlet. She's kinda slow, but she's sweet and we love her anyway. lol She's about 5-6 years old. (when we got her they said she was somewhere between 1 - 1.5 years old, the center wasn't sure)

awww... I love me some puppy pictures... I wish so much that we could have a dog - but hubby has asthma... he would love to try a hypo dog, but I told him that if he ends up having problems, we know between the two, who would be sleeping in the garage... haha

So - in the mean time, I have my "sister", Lillie Leigh... my mom's choc lab mix... she is *gasp* going to be 13 in August...

she is shy and hates me taking her photo... and she also doesn't care for Jake... still has nightmare about when he was over at her house as a baby and he would cry and cry...

Aww... my doggie friend passed away back in 2007. We got a puppy a little bit before she died and returned the pup to the breeder because we realized it was a bad time for us to take on a new puppy. We would like another dog, but not until we get a bigger house.

Here's our one & only pet now, Kevin the parakeet. He talks and is very friendly. We are definitely bird people. In fact, I would love to get a parrot some day when the kids are older.

This is Bear. He's a 10-1/2 yr old golden retriever/chow mix, as best as the vet could tell. He was dumped on my street in the middle of the night at 4 weeks old...whatever jerk did that doesn't know what he/she missed out on. Bear is the sweetest, gentlest dog I've ever known. He's pretty submissive with other dogs, and for the longest time, I'm pretty sure he thought he was a cat...probably because my 2 cats raised him from 4 wks on. To this day he still has some cat traits.



Here are the cats...I really need to do solo pages for them. The three at the top are the kitties we have now...Toby, 14 (shy guy); Max, 13 (frisky, lovable, and ornery at the same time; and Rusty, 17-ish (major grouch turned quiet old lady). The lower photo is of Pewter, who died in 2000 (and from whom I got my screenname).

We have 4 cats in our Fur Family.
This is Tilly who was found in a dumpster as a baby kitty and rescued by an old man. He raised her in apartment till she was about 4 months old. When he could no longer care for her we invited her to live with us.

This is Tiger who was dropped off along side of the rode with his brother Smokey as kittens. They were both so sweet that we kept both of them. Tiger loves to be touched.

This is Smokey who loves to cuddle and catch treats in his mouth.

This is our 10 year old cat Boo Boo who showed up on our doorstep at one year's old as a ragged stray. He was my first cat ever and is the most polite and sweet cat!

Me too. :crying: I still think about that trip to the vet and leaving without her. I think it's part of why we haven't been able to get another dog since. It was hard. She was such a great dog, one thing for sure if we do get another dog, it will be a poodle.
