Affinity?

I know that the program was talked about here as this is where I first saw the info about the beta. Has anyone been using it? I downloaded it at work (no Mac at home) and I'm struggling to make heads of it. I'm so lost! LOL

I downloaded it, tried to figure it for 15 minutes, and went straight back to the old program, as I couldn't figure it out... It seems to me that in trying to re-invent something "not Photoshop", they went so far I can't recognize anything. That said, I didn't learn photoshop in 15 minutes, either...
