Adobe Bridge Users!

Just learning CS6, Mac and Bridge so I apologize if I get annoying with questions. So, how can I drag multiple items from the Bridge to my work space without them merging into one file? (example...edited photo, want to open a template to put the photo on but template turns into layers on the photo itself)

Double click on what you want to open instead of dragging it

^^^ I'm on PC, but that works for me. If you double click it will open all of them into PS.
