"Add new tab button" for Firefox???

I need some firefox help! I had two add ons that were clashing or something so I had to delete my profile and reinstall the other day. Now I'm trying to get my add ons back and I can't find one. :( It was an addon that was an "add new tab" button on the right side of the tabs. I'm lost without it! :( I have firefox 3.0 Thanks for any help!

Sorry Julie, I'm not sure which add-on that is. I just use Ctrl T to get a new tab.

LOL... I always have 10+ tabs open and there isn't an empty space. :p

I downloaded that one you linked to, Col. I'll give it a try! My old one had the button on the right though instead of the left. So weird I can't find it!! :(
 
I use the "Undo Closed Tabs Button" add-on...well, I don't use it for adding a new tab (I use Ctrl+T, lol) but if you right click on this one it's an option there. Plus it's awesome because when you accidentally close a tab or want to reopen one that you closed recently, you can, lol.
 
If you go up to where you main buttons are (ie: the refresh, home, stop, etc buttons) and you right click on any one of them -- it should give you the option to "Customize" ...

After you push customize, a window will pop up and show you some nifty buttons that you can add to your main area up there. They have a "new tab" button that you can add (it does exactly what you need it to - add a new tab - and doesn't require any installation). It looks like a folder with a green plus sign on it (there's also a "new window" that looks similar - but it's a little different).

Anyhoo - once you find it - you can just drag and drop it to wherever you want it to be. :) I remember looking forever for an addon that did what I want - only to discover that the "new tab" option is built into the Firefox browser, but it's just not a default button (and that you have to add it yourself - grr)

OMG thank you SO much for this! I am a newer FF convert from IE, and I know nothing about these nifty add ons and tricks. I cannot tell you how much I appreciate this!
 
Glad I could help -- I went slightly insane till I could get my new tab button back, lol. I use it all the time :)
