Accordian Album

I am working on a hybrid album with the Maya Road 4x6 accordian album. Its all bound together though so how I do get the holes around the metal rings? do you cut it? Help.

Some have used pliers to take the rings off and then put them back on and squeezed them shut, but others found that it was easier to measure and punch holes in the pages, then cut a slit from the edge to the hole so that you can just slip it over top of the rings. Does that make sense? I didn't put this one together yet but I will probably do it by cutting the slits on the pages...

the 4x6 one that I did I opened the rings ... but then I couldn't get them closed tight enough and the ribbons kept coming off.

I made a square accordian and just did the holes & slits.
