A story done on me on the news

oh gosh Alisa, I didn't realize so many people still had no power. I hope you guys can get home soon and your sons lip heals okay. *hugs*

Oh Alisa I am so sorry you are having to go through this. I know our utility company sent crews to help and some were turned away because they said they had all the help they needed. But I still believe it was because our utility company is not with the union. They tried to sugarcoat it and now I see our crews were needed more than ever! I wish I could at least send you some heat. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers!

Alisa I am so sorry this is going on so long for you guys!! Hoping you are back home soon and that your sweet boy's lip heals soon!!

Hugs Alisa - I wish that things get better quickly for you! My relatives on Long Island finally got their power on late last night, so I hope it won't be much longer for you! And hugs to your son too!

Your poor little guy. :( How awful! I continue to pray that everyone has restored power soon and warm, dry places to stay. It just breaks my heart to see what is going on in that area.

so sorry you still have no power! ughh! i'm glad you can go to your family's home - but i'm sure you are REALLY ready to get back to your place! hoping you guys get back soon! and - hoping your son's lip heals soon, too!

Marie where are your relatives. About 1/ mile from me got it back last night. We just keep hoping it will be us.

I miss scrapping so much. :-(

Tuesday?! That must feel like a million miles away, I can only begin to imagine how you feel, not being in your own home with your stuff around you, living normally with your family and scrapping, I really hope you get to go home soon, it will be like Christmas has come early! :hugs:

this is really scary :( alisa I so hope your power is restored soon... so so glad you have family to go to so that you can be safe.

Alisa - do you have older people in your neighbourhood that may not be well? so scary :( I can't even imagine

Oh Alisa! I can't imagine how hard that is for your cute family! Sending prayers that you'll have your power back soon and can get back in your home. And, hugs to your little guy . . . so sad! <3

Tuesday was something that the reporter said. our power company told my neighbor thanksgiving.

If it's thanksgiving I will be committed before then.

kate posted the link to the video on fb. i watched it and just shook my head. it's completely unacceptable that you've been without power for 12 days.

i'm sending warm and positive thoughts. and i hope your little guy feels better soon!

I have elderly neighbors who are refusing to go anywhere. We are checking on them as we can. It's freezing and I'm scared they'll get robbed.

Hope it's on soon!
After the ice storm in 09' - it took over three weeks for some of my friends to get power back. :( Hope your power comes online a lot sooner than that!

They're in Hewlett. They are fortunate that they have a couple fireplaces so they stayed put (and their child is away at college, so no young ones), but they were glad to finally have it back last night! I'll keep sending positive vibes! Oh, and she said it was thanks to Hydro Quebec that they got power - not sure what that is about.

Ok you. I'm sorry that you're going through this, I would be stark raving mad, BUT

YOU ARE ADORABLE. That was fun to watch!

That is terrible! I'm so sorry that you're still without power and I really pray that you have it back before Thanksgiving. And your poor little boy...I hope his lip heals quickly!

Holy something! Unbelievable, you must be seriously hacked off. I'm thankful we don't have hurricanes over here, I'd be terrified because of the damage I've seen on the news, it's heart-wrenching and so sad. I really hope you can go home soon, it must feel like your life is on hold.

Tomorrow is my tenth wedding anniversary. We were supposed to go away but had to cancel it.

We definitely feel like life is on hold.

Oh no! I hope your travel plans can be redone! This has got to be miserable! I've been praying for you guys! I'm glad you at least have a warm place to stay in the meanwhile. Last year we lost power for 3 days and it was down to 55, I can't even imagine a 43 degree house!

Oh, and Traci is so right! You and your family are adorable! And no worries about the hair...have you read the Curly Girl book? Call it a halo! :) DH likes to play with mine.
