A little TMI Post, pregnancy related

Have any of you girls had severe pain in like the left side of your groin?

I'm assuming its just the ligaments and everything stretching out, but man, its getting awful, I mean it hurts to walk, get out of bed, etc.

If you did, did your doctor do anything or just say deal with it? Never had this with Keira or Cooper. I swear this baby is trying to kill me.
 
Oh girl, I had that BIG TIME with Chloe. Like, it was enough to double me over and take my breath sometimes. My doc pretty much told me to deal with it, but he did say that I could try a support belt to help with the pressure. I tried a little cheapie one and didn't notice any difference. For me, the thing that helped the most was simply staying off my feet (which, as you know, is easier said than done).
 
That's what I thought. I'm dying! I still have 10 weeks to go. This little guy better be a good boy and come out a couple weeks early! LOL!
 
i had severe pelvic pain .. I spent a lot of time with a homemade rice bag between my legs. Seriously - it got SO much action LOL

Mine was my pelvis separating and causing the pain - (not like I don't already have massively wide hips anyway - but they needed to make even MORE room).

it was suggested that I wear a belt, too, but I did a lot of pelvic tilt exercises to try to relieve some pressure that way, plus the moist heat.

sounds like a good idea. I have a rice bag.
 
I did with my last. My doctor's explanation was it was scar tissue from my 2 previous c-sections. Not sure if that is what you mean or not. It wasn't horrible but it was defenitely more then with the other two. My daughter is having a lot of pelvic pain as well and the doctor told her it is the baby pressing on the pelvic area.
 
Yep, I had it so bad! Couldn't even lift my hips off the bed to roll over because it hurt so bad. Not really much you can do...just your hips spreading getting ready for birth.
 
I had it with my second - but not so much with this one. Mine started at about 17 weeks, before I was even very big. It was also from my pelvic bones separating. Hurt to walk, get out of bed, or even put on my underwear!!! And unfortunately, it lasted till the moment little Eli was born. But now with this pregnancy, I don't have it -- just a little here and there. The doctor told me to pretty much deal with it as well. Hope your next 10 weeks go smoothly!

That is totally why it was so hard for me to get dressed. I would have to take a deep breath, and then lift my leg while exhaling because it hurt so dang bad. I'm sorry Vanessa...I totally feel for you right now!
 
I had a lot of pain my 2nd pregnancy too. I couldn't stand for Lon because of it. The kitchen stools were my best friend. The support belt helped in 2nd trimester, but 3rd trimester I couldn't have anything tight around my belly. Luckily my high blood pressure was keeping me down anyway.

Good luck! At least you can almost count down the days until it's over!
 
I had this too with my 3rd (of 4) pregnancies. It was the ligaments that normally keep the two halves of your pubic bone together relaxing. The two halves of the pubic bone were actually scraping each other - ow! I used the belt - didn't do me much good. It went away after pregnancy. I will say that that labor was the easiest and quickest of my 4 though - so maybe a quick labor for you? =)

Ugh. Sorry you're hurting Vanessa! Reading this thread just makes me so glad that I'm never going to be pregnant again. Not being able to lift your foot to put pants on . . . been there, done that, never doing it again.

Hang in there, V! It really is all worth it in the end, right?!
 
I had it bad with my 2nd. I was already hurting before I was even 20 weeks. It was so painful just to be pregnant that 2nd time around. I had it a little with my first but the 2nd one was alot more painful. It also doesn't help that I already had previous trauma to my pelvic bone so it was a lot worse. Hoping the next 10 weeks go by fast and definitely try the rice bag and resting.
