A Little Help...Pink Eye

I cannot remember what it is like when it starts and I NEED to know like now cause I have to tell my brother, since I watch his 2 year old daughter!!!! So tell me, please!!!!
 
The times that my kids have had it(this was the bacterial kind as opposed to the viral kind), it started with them having REALLY goopy eyes. Like globs of mucous that would be in one eye. Then, the eye got red all over and very weepy the next day. Hope this helps and I hope you guys don't have it!
 
I hope not either but it is not looking too good at this point cause I got lots of goop right now and it is driving me NUTS!!!!
 
Call the Dr or the advice nurse. Sometimes, they will call in a Rx for you without having you bring the child in--so the other kids don't get it too. Good luck. I hope it is nothing. Is it in one eye or both?
 
I had it about 2 years ago. It started out with me thinking my contacts were going crazy...I wore contacts then (not anymore) and sometimes they would get goopy and like I would touch my eye and liquid would be around it...it wasn't anything out of the ordinary, but it was definitely happening a lot more. I woke up one morning, my eye was like crusted over, in my eyelashes and all...it came out, but you know, weird. And, then I went to school that day & the goop was CONSTANT. So I went to the doctor that night and they said it was pink eye....but it wasn't contagious anymore, hahaha. I thought it was just my contacts until then.

Anyway. Just go to the dr...or like the MinuteClinic things at CVS, they're really quick, that's where I went, and where I go for stuff like that. If you're on the East Coast, they already closed, but I mean, they're open until like 8.
 
I have pink eye right now (my kids go to daycare and they bring everything home) and my eye just started burning and it hurt, then it got really red and watery, no goop.
 
I thought my ds had it, but it turned out to be an ear infection. After one day of antibiotics, it was all cleared up.
 
Yep, I have goop and a bit of burning and MAJOR irritation so as soon as all the kiddos are off to school I am off to the doctors office. I am sure one of the kids brought it home from school or something. I am such a weirdo and am ALWAYS washing my hands so I am really pissed that I have it. I had to cancel babysitting my niece already...I can keep my own kids away, for the most part anyway. It kinda hurts just reading these posts :cursing:
