Well this is what I get for bragging them up a couple of weeks ago.
I designed last minute Christmas cards for a friend and had them drop shipped from WHCC straight to her. They were supposed to be delivered today, and when I checked the UPS tracking info, it said that they were delivered - FOUR STATES away from where she lives!
I called WHCC and they said it was a UPS error that they would remake them and ship them overnight, which I was happy about.
I got the remake confirmation email, and it has the description of the "incident" as: "WHCC Shipping Department error by Employee number XXXX" I'm hoping that the "by Employee" is who entered the info, not who's fault it was b/c that's not very professional. But the part I was most worried about was the shipping, which is listed as "Standard, 2-3 Day."
I called WHCC back and was told that since the shipping error was UPS's fault, they would not overnight the item. When I pointed out that the Incident Confirmation says that the error was theirs and offered to pay for overnight shipping, I was told that I was "not supposed to see" that information and that since I was "being difficult" she would go ahead and list the item to be overnight shipped (which is was supposed to be anyway!)
I then asked to speak to a manager, and said that I appreciated them taking care of the problem - but that I did not appreciate being told that I was "difficult" and that with an attitude like that, they most likely would not be keeping customers around. The manager was very, very nice and agreed that it was inappropriate, yadda, yadda.
I'm still impressed with their products, but am pretty annoyed right now about this. I understand that mistakes happen, but geesh.
