A Celebration of Amber's Talent

Hi, friends. As some of you may have seen, we've been trying to figure out the best way to honor our dear friend Amber Shaw, so our designers and Babes have been sharing on our social media their favorite pages using Amber's products.

We'd like to invite you all - the members of our sweet community - to do the same. Many of you worked with or knew Amber personally. Some of you were simply fans of her work and loyal customers. I think it's safe to say that Amber's amazing talent touched all of us in some way.

With that in mind, please share with us your favorite layouts using Amber's products. We'd love for you to post here in this thread and also on Facebook and our Instagram using the hashtag #ssdlovesamber and tagging @sweetshoppedesigns so that we can be sure to see and re-post your pages. Let's flood this thread and social media with Amber's beautiful work! :wub:

I think this is Amber's latest scoop (crazy to type this!! how can this even be possible ?!?!?!?) together with Kelly and I just loved this scoop so much. So colorful and I had so much fun working with it.

 
I was so lucky to be on Amber's CT. I joined in April 2017 and it really was a dream come true. This was my first CT layout for her and it is still one of my favorites........

I love everything I have created with Amber's products, it's so easy to create pretty pages when you have beautiful product to work with!

I've been on Amber's team since her very first call. We talked recently about how much she had grown as a designer, and especially after she opened her shop here at the @sweetshoppedesigns She was an amazing lady, and much more to us (on the team) than just a designer. She was a friend and a confidant. We all loved her dearly! I have a few layouts I'd like to share here also. Thank you for allowing us to grieve her loss together in this way!

I love this!! I've not scrapped since I found out about Amber's death. I told myself today I'd like to scrap something using one of her products! I love that SSD is doing this, sharing her talent all over social media!!

Keep those layouts and love coming! :wub:
 
What a beautiful way to memorialize Amber.

Perfectly Imperfect was the kit that started my Amber love and not to long after I posted this page in the gallery Amber messaged me asking if I would like to join her CT.


Combining Perfectly Imperfect and Seize the Day by Amber made for a fun all about me page that I will treasure forever.


Amber's A Little Wild kit is one of my absolute faves. It is the epitome of my boys and it's rich colors fit exactly the look I was looking for. She had some of the best colors for boy moms.


I'm not a big Christmas kit scrapper, but the minute I saw her stunning Country Christmas Collection I knew I had to play with it. Amber's designs always had that way of pulling me in making me want to scrap.



And last but definitely not least, a page made with her In the Stars Collection. I love, love, love the colors of this kit.

When I saw Flamingo Paradise by Amber, I knew I just have to have it! This layout is my favorite :).

A few of us girls have been with Amber on her CT way back to 2010...she was Ruby Lane then and had to change her designer name a few years later. I spent my morning looking through old blog archives from way back when. It brought back so may wonderful memories. She is to scrap with us and was amazing at creating layouts too.

I forced myself to scrap yesterday. I scrapped a page about her and what a tragedy it is. I still don't feel like scrapping... it's just so sad.

I used mostly 'In My Dreams', one of her recent bundles, one or two elements from her kit 'Gone Too Soon' and some various elements from other designers to match the pictures.
These are my weekly pages and I had the need to scrap about her, so I added a picture and her story too.

I haven't been here (or anywhere else really) in a really long time to chat or post anything, but I feel drawn here to remember Amber. I've missed the digi community recently and a tragedy like this really reminds me what a wonderful family we have. These are pages I've created this week to honor Amber by preserving her artwork in my scrapbook pages.

I have held this kit of Amber's in my top faves for ages. I got a lot of use out of it. I was very lucky to CT for Amber and help run her social media stuff before I quit scrapping a couple years ago. I have been in awe of her growth here at SSD since I have returned. She grew and flourished as a designer. I'm glad she had such a great home here.

This was a hard one for me. With Amber's passing I haven't had the inspiration to scrap. But celebrating her memory motivated me to show just how gorgeous her designs are:
