8-Week Weight Loss Challenge- Wanna Join Me?

I signed up! This is perfect for me, as David and I will see each other 9 weeks from today....and I wanted to lose some of the baby weight while he is gone. Since he will look quite different when I see him next, I wanted to look different too! This being 8 weeks is perfect for me....

I totally need the motivation because the other people in this house are not on a diet and Tabatha is a kick-butt cook....it's hard not to gain weight while staying with her! I'm going to Florida for two weeks which will derail my daily bike ride, but I can swim in my dad's pool while I'm there :)

I'm really excited about this!
 
I just signed up! Thanks so much for organizing this. This is just the kick in the booty I need! I'm at my highest weight ever right now (except when I was preggo). I'm currently on vaca and using my IL's computer, so I will have limited time to check in. I will be away from the computer for several days, but I will definitely check in next week when I'm back home.

I'm joining. I just started back at the gym 2 weeks ago and even made this last night to keep me inspired

I'd love to do this because I can't seem to stay motivated to get rid of those last few pounds that I can't seem to shake. But if I only have 6-7 pounds to lose, won't I hurt my team?
 
I am going on vacation July 28th-AUg 13th, can I still play?


Would you be able to check in at all during those 2 weeks (at least on Mondays- 7/28, 8/4 and 8/11? If you could at least update your weight and challenge info I'd say yes, but otherwise it might not be fair to the rest of the team. :( Let me know, ok? :)

Great, you're all set in the forums, Sheri. Just make sure to do your "intro" post with a starting weight before 8pm on Sunday so you can be added to a team. Hope this message makes it to you! Thanks so much!

Well....it's based on percentages, so a smaller number for you could still be a decent percentage overall. :) But in general, the less to lose, the harder it can be I think, so you might have several weeks of staying the same. But, as long as you're still getting the rest of the points, I'd say you're fine!
 
I registered. I'm only allowed minimal exercise at this time, so if you think I'll slow down a team's progress...I'll bow out gracefully. :)

The physical/exercise challenges will be something like 30 min 3x/week, of whatever you'd like to do (walking, swimming, etc.). They'll increase in time/days over the course of the 8 weeks. Does that sound doable?
 
I'm another one who wants to play although I only have a little left to loose. I started a weight loss program in april and have now lost twenty pounds - I'm feeling GREAT and I reached my first goal, but i'm really going to need the extra motivation to loose 5-10 more pounds!

It will SOOOO be worth it though!

I promise to work extra hard on the other challenges to make up for my smaller numbers ;)
 
OooH! If I weren't prego I would totally do this. I hope it's a big hit and you do it again in January when I'll need to drop some serious poundage.
 
We have 34 members already!! :) WOW! We might actually approach that 60 member mark if we keep this up- if you're thinking about joining, do it now. :thumbup:
 
I'm still thinking T! I have 2 vacations coming up, so I know I might be wonked a couple times. One vacay is in less than 2 weeks and one is in September. Stilllll thinking.... :)

OH..but you will be pleasantly surprised when you see what the theme is for the kit that Heather and I just finished. It will come out on August 2nd. :)

No excuses!! :) I have some time away coming up too, but since I'm addicted to the internet, I'll still be around on the board. LOL

I will be on the 28th becuase we aren;t actually leaving until the night of the 28th.... 8/4 I hope I will have some wireless internet connection at Disneyland {without paying for it} but not sure....I will be back on the 10th so I will be able to check in on the 11th...so does that mean I'm ok....what about the challenges, will I be OK if I am on vacation? We plan on doing ALOT of walking...1 day in San Fran, 2 days in Legoland and 6 days in Disney, so I hope to WALK ALOT!!!

I haven't made all the challenges yet, but they shouldn't be too hard to keep up with on vacation. As long as you think you can check in on the days you need to to get the points for your team the week of the 28th and the week of the 4th, I'd say you're fine. I don't want to cause you any vacation stress by having to find an internet connection! :)
