I have a big stack clothes to donate!

I had to go shopping for a new suit yesterday because mine are so baggy I look schlumpy. This is the kind of "problem" I am happy to have, !

It's been a great fitness/health journey so far, especially since my hubby is doing it with me and he's down 30 lbs. :) Super proud of us!

Congrats! Can you send some motivation my way?

Haha! I'm sending all the positive motivation vibes over your way!!! :)

What got me going (and kept me going) was signing up for DietBet. It's a web site where you bet a small amount (usually about $25) that you can lose 4% of your starting weight over 4 weeks. Have a fixed amount and deadline, and money on the line, was so motivating for me! Once I did my first one, I signed up for a DietBet to lose 10% over 6 months. And I think I'm going to make it a month or two ahead of schedule. :)

I did a Dietbet last fall when I was motivated and won, but then Christmas came and I apparently lost all motivation. I keep trying to get started back up, but then life gets in the way. Boo. I am so glad it's working for you though.

You are awesome, Heddy! Congrats!

I took a break last month from Diet Bet and really need that accountability back in my life! If anyone's up for it, I started a new game beginning June 1. $15 bet. Lose 4% of your body weight within 4 weeks and you split the pot. You won't lose anything if you make your goal -- and you may just get a little extra if others don't meet their goals. :)

There is really nothing better than being able to buy a smaller size and seeing the skinny you starting to come back in the mirror. Keeping that drive isn't easy. Congrats to you!!!

Thanks everyone! I'm so energized right now. :) It is especially motivating for me that I have less to lose now, than I have already lost. :) Over the half-way point!

Congrats to the both of you! It's so nice that you're both on board together, I know that's a big help. Keep us posted on your next bet.

Thank you all SO much for the kind words and encouragement!!!! Here we are a month later and I thought I'd do a quick update: I'm *just* shy of a 30 lbs loss!

I'm so pleased with how far I've come. Is that a waist I'm getting? Having collarbones again is a good thing too, lol! BTW, my hubby is down about 35 lbs and looking great. It's been such a rewarding experience to do this together. Today we were at the park playing with the kids, and we were running around the field (we were rotten robbers and the kiddos were the police coming to get us, haha!) and we didn't even get winded. Six months ago I don't think I could have kept up. To say it's been a life-changing experience doesn't even begin to describe how I'm feeling. I mean, I'm now a person who looks forward to working out and getting a good sweat on. I never would have guessed that I could feel like that! I have another 16 lbs to go before I hit my "goal", but it's starting to feel really feasible now to make it there.
