2016 Challenge Bingo FAQ

How do we know what kits we have that are free with purchase (I believe it's number 17). I don't remember what is what in my files because let's face it, I have a horrible memory!

Or are you talking about SSD Store collabs?

I'm not sure if this is the quickest or easiest way but i had a look in my order history the ones with a $0 purchase price i got for free

(some were the little freebies i downloaded but it's pretty easy to tell by looking at the kits which were freebies and which were FWB, they're usually bigger)

This may have already been answered, but can we use retired product from Sweet Shoppe designers for the bingo challenges? I am getting ready to purchase several kits from the retirement sale and would love to use them for a few of the challenge squares.

Does anyone have an idea on what kit to use for the navy, orange, fushia and white challenge?

I am planning to use this kit:

i'm just having a look at the december challenge - what is layers of texture?

The idea was to layer things on a page that have different textures. So maybe a burlap paper with a crinkled card stock, topped with a cluster of feathers, buttons, lace, etc - Plus you are open to interpreting it however you like. You could use a picture that shows layers of textures as well - a stack of different clothes or an outfit that is layered up for winter.

I hope that helps!

Hey Kitartas! One idea I had for this challenge was using overlays and gesso and things to create some textured background. Kind of like with Rachel's (Captivated Visions) Artified Templates like this (there are a bunch of these in the shop!)

OR recreating a background like these of hers:

I hope that helped!! That was just my original plan when I saw that prompt!

In December challenges number 17 is scrap using a new to SSD designer, I guess Wendy P is kinda new, are there more?

book blitz is open to your own interpretation.... but the spirit behind it is just to scrap about books! your love of books, a current book favorite, last book you read, books on your 'to be read' list, favorite author, favorite series, most reead book... etc. I'm going to scrap a page about all the books I read in 2016.

Hope that helps!

What does 'ticket stub' mean?

And does some have any ideas on what layout to make for the 'take a stand' prompt?

Hi, girls, what's book blitz? Pulling a blank here. Thanks

My son participated in a "100 Nights of Reading" challenge at school in 2016 and made it to 300 nights, so I'll be scrapping about that. :)

When I read ticket stubs I thought about movie/theatre tickets (although in Australia our tickets are usually scanned from our phones these days :p), or even the ticket stubs that can be included in kits, such as the red ones in the centre of my layout here: https://www.sweetshoppecommunity.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=410217&title=we-were-here&cat=500

As for the "Take a Stand" prompt, maybe you could pick a topic you are really passsionate about? Or an instance where you have shown a lot of resilience and/or stood up for something you believe was right?

Thank you so much Angie! That helps a lot! <3

We're going to see the new Star Wars movie this weekend, so I could take a photo of the tickets and scrap it.
I had no idea what the word 'stubs' meant in English.

I have a question about the color challenge? Does the layout need to use the color orange or is it more of a percentage of the layout should be orange? Orange is not my favorite shade and before I start that I would love to know the expectation.

The challenges are very open to interpretation which is awesome. As long as you use orange and it is obvious on the page, it should be fine. :) Generally though....you can just interpret them however works for you!

Ok maybe this has been answered already but I wasn't quite sure... Is it ok to lift ANY Sunday scraplift? Or does it have to be this month's? I already lifted one from 12/18 b/c I thought it said "a Scraplift Sunday" but I realized too late that the "a" isn't in there. Figured I'd better check before the end of the month in case I have to do another one! :P

I cannot for hte life of me get this tutorial to work! I get the text in the shape, but only the top line. No matter how much I type, it doesn't continue. I've looked up many other tuts to see if I was doing something wrong but nothing works! AH what am I doing wrong?!
