#19 - Top 10 Things

Neverland Scraps

I am stumped and I know I'm not the only one. I need help with Bingo prompt #19 - Top 10: Things You Can't Live Without

I'm a very simple person. Outside of my faith/God and family, I could live without everything else.

What did you all do?
What suggestions do you have?

You could go all practical. 10 things that make your life easier every day (washing machine, phone, home delivered pizza, etc).

You could scrap 10 values that you think are super important for yourself or your kids. (honesty, integrity, kindness etc)

Top 10 things that are ALWAYS in your handbag. Things you never leave home without.

This one was really funny. Outside of my wallet and phone, nothing else is in my purse! I'm such a simple person when it comes to purses. If I didn't need my credit card, drivers license or military ID, I'd probably NOT carry a purse!

I love these ideas. I was being too literal.
This helps!

What about "10 things I'd grab if I had to evacuate my home". That could include family, pets, scrapbooks, credit card, valuable documents, etc

I'm saving this one for last because it stumped me. I was talking to my best friend and she made a comment about this one as well. This is my kryptonite challenge  :D

I only made the comment because when someone you love passes away, everything else seems trivial. This is the one challenge and reason I probably won't be getting blackout! I tried, I really did! I'm proud of what I did get done, and even though your ideas are all really great, this one and tranquil just aren't in my vocab at the moment! :( I'm just proud of myself for forcing myself to scrap and to scrap some HARD subjects too!

I'm proud of you for the layouts that you are scrapping, even if it means you don't get blackout. The ones that you are scrapping are therapeutic for you and will be more cherished than something you are already struggling. I love you. Hang in there. You know I'm always here for you--just a phone call away!

We don't want you to put all that effort into a blackout, just to fail on one or two pages. The prompts really are open to interpretation. Twist it to something that you CAN scrap.

e.g. Top 10:
TV programmes
Meals
Shops you like to shop at
Memories

Each in their own way could be something you wouldn't want to live with out, even if it's just tongue-in-cheek.

As for the tranquil one. Scrap about how you're NOT feeling tranquil right now. Journal how chaotic everything is and how you long for that feeling of peace to return. Or whatever the situation is.

As for the tranquil one. Scrap about how you're NOT feeling tranquil right now.

I often do this, I twist the promp to the opposite. Like the spring cleaning one, I scrapped about how I hate cleaning because I don't spring clean, let alone take a pic of spring cleaning!!

Try the top ten memories like Jacinda suggested! That one sounds like it might be a {sad but} therapeutic way to get the page done.

Top 10 doesn't have to be about yourself either. It could be a Top 10 of one of your kids or for a pet. I used to do this a lot when I was doing all the Bingo challenges as I don't scrap about myself much and they were then pages I could put in my kids' photo books.

I always struggle with those top 10 challenges and was hoping they would drop out this year. I do them only for the purpose of a blackout. I never print those so I save them for last if I am about to get a blackout. They're a bit of time wasting for me but I've seen people making great pages for those kind of challenges :) there are also some pretty good templates about top 10s.

I have a hard time with the Top-10 theme, but I think I could pull it off using some of these awesome ideas!
I'm not going to be able to make blackout this month... it's just been too chaotic for me to get much scrapped.

I try not to take the challenges too literally, like seriously if it’s the end of the world my make-up isn’t staying on my list ...it would dwindle down fast ;P

No kidding... I'd be in trouble - Food didn't even make it on my list. LOL. I got my hot chocolate though ;)

THis is me too. I save them for last and rarely print them unless I can pull one out for my kids. I save those because they're cute, but I don't generally scrap myself much. I probably should because my kids might want those later on.

I think I'm going to do fonts.....my 10 (at the moment now) favorite fonts that I use over and over again. I'll make word strips or something and use the different fonts of them.

I think....
It's always subject to change with the way my brain works! :D

Thank you guys for the help! I'm glad my question could help others as well!

Thank you guys for the inspiration!!

I did 10 ten movies (that my two kids couldn't live without)
The finished layout is a hot mess, but I was able to scrap their new Movie Passes that came in the mail this weekend and they have been enjoying! Who doesn't love free movies?!
