Technically, the two Earth Day pages aren't a double page spread; they're actually back to back. No one is surprised that I needed two pages to tell this story though ;)

I've been meaning to make a page like this for years. Trying to do it for a Connect & Create Challenge finally got me to put thoughts to page (and use a kit that's been languishing on my "to use" list for years). I'm a huge fan of chasing rainbows and looking for silver linings but this was hard.
This is the last page of my December album. All I need it to do the cover and then I am DONE :D It was the hardest to piece together so I saved it until last.
I'm almost done with my December album. It took a while to get the motivation to scrap our family's Hanukkah party; it also took a while to get the last photos from (very busy) family. It came out even better than I imagined.
I'm not sure that cypress trees were quite what was intended by "evergreens" but they're what I thought of when I saw this challenge.

This is take two on this layout. I put all my photos into templates, found a new-to-me kit on sale that was PERFECT, and then needed to switch to a pocket-style page so I could use all those fun journal cards. It was worth it; I even got the kiddo's seal of approval

It took me a while to collect enough one-off moments for the introduction page for a 12x12 album. It's such a great welcome to the year's story though.
I'm still in love with the postcards and tickets from this kit. I decided to (re)scrap my maternity photos because I thought they'd pair nicely. I also recolored the girl to look more like me.
I took inspiration from the colors of the balloon and went with an analogous color scheme of blue-green, blue, blue-violet, violet, and a little red-violet/magenta
