We seem to end up taking the scenic route a lot, whether we want to or not! I love a leisurely drive with my camera but prefer it to be my choice.

Today was a BUSY day and full of so much joy! We somehow made it home tonight to light candles *and* get them scrapped before I pass out. zzzzzzzzz......
This page has been literally 5 months in the making. I was just trying to figure out how to scrap it when Cheryl (Fiddle-Dee-Dee Designs) shared this template set. It feel like it was meant to be.
Another page of my husband's office Halloween 'party'. In addition to his team's Mario Kart area (page here: https://www.sweetshoppecommunity.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=772486), there were 3 more areas: EPCOT, Chopped After Dark, and Monsters Inc (not pictured; it has its own page but not...
I wasn't originally intending for Slasher Saturdays to be a thing but my husband decided to take inspiration from my scrap stash (and also to make sure we actually saw all the classics, of course)
My kiddo is determined to make the most of his time at the barn and to keep me busy scrapping. (He now asks me to take photos "for the scrapbook" and I love it!)
These photos were taken before his unmounted lesson (double page spread here -...
After years of talking about it, my brother FINALLY got to take me for Korean BBQ for our birthdays. My husband was kind enough to get me a new scrapbook kit for the occasion (since he wants to go again for another occasion already)

I'm thinking the classic slasher movies may all end up with very similarly-structured layouts. I'm loving the bingo card, fussy cutting the head out of the patterned paper, the little movie references, and the stitching.
I had very different thoughts for the title of this page until I saw the gorgeous title freebies in Cindy's DSD challenge (https://www.sweetshoppecommunity.com/forum/showthread.php?t=99474). I love it so much more now.
I'm really leaning into the whole "do it for the scrapbook" mentality this month. I even printed out the "scary movie bingo" cards for two of our slasher movie picks. (I may do more but I only printed one of each variation.)
This is my first time attempting a Day in the Life project but I suspect it won't be my last. Keeping it to a two-page spread made it manageable, especially since I'm already in the habit of cramming a ton of photos into a spread for the first week of homeschool ;)

I placed everything down in pairs (including duplicating the stitching on the template and rotating it 180 degrees) so everything has a match. Thank goodness for versatile papers that can look slightly different while still being the same.

I went with History and explained a bit about our family's favorite astronaut. I don't think I'll ever get tired of my husband's grandfather randomly sharing John Glenn stories.

I have been waiting for the right page to use this kit since it was a free with purchase. I still need to make another one since I couldn't make my favorite paper work here.
