Charlie in the News:Minority donors week
I agreed to a press release telling my Charlie's story of organ donation. It was really easy because I didn't really have to talk to anyone in person everything was via email.... That's kinda why I agreed.
I just got sent the first link of where it was shared: West Hartford News I also agreed to a radio interview which had me with insomnia last night, I shared the info on my facebook page. Sadly I found out the am station doesn't stream live on tune in radio . Karma is wow b/c one of Charlies best friends works at that radio station and she sent me an edited version of the broadcast. Love her I was so nervous I got hung up in the beginning but if you'd like a listen. I am choked up so don't listen if your not in a good mood yourself. I uploaded to soundcloud Thanks again for letting me share this important story regarding organ donation. I can now breathe a sigh of relief |

Oh Mary, I can only imagine how hard that was even the print part, not to mention the radio part.
Organ donation is something near and dear to me as my best friend has been on the list for kidney donation for 5 years now She's only 46 and has had several heart attacks, infections, multiple ICU stays, and stays at nursing homes for rehab in the past 3 years. She has 2 daughters 10 and 12 and I think the only reason she's held on this long is because of them I so hope she gets a kidney soon. |

Marie, that's so sad. I know people that don't donate bc they are not informed or other reasons. I honestly couldn't let someone else feel my same pain. It's overwhelming and depressing. I'll keep her in my pt&p.
Angie, Thank you |

Mary, I can't read the story because I will cry but thanks for spreading this amazing message. My dear MIL passed at 49. We donated her organs and 9 people are alive today because of her. We run a charity golf tournament in her memory to benefit our local transplant services and so I can say with all honesty that organ donation is near and dear to my heart.

Mary just listened to this, thank you so much for sharing this with us! Very touching and what an amazing gift that you could speak for organ donation. I'm very moved and although I'm pretty sure it already says it, I'm going to double check my license tonight. Hugs!!
