Default Ok...a little Wii help...

So my Wii is coming this week...and I am totally obsessed. Plus, we got some of our tax return...

So what games do you guys recommend? Hit me with them...(please not Wii fit or Mario Kart...those are DEFINITE ones I am getting)

Also, do you have a remote charger? Is it something that is worth the $$??

Charger is a MUST.

We love love love the Star Wars Lego Saga - and are obsessing over it as a family right now.

Wii sports is another fav, so if you didn't get that in your bundle, do. Mario Galaxy is one DH & Ds love. We've really pulled back buying games and are playing what we have with gusto for now, but these are the favorites.

I wuv Legend of Zelda Twlight Princess. It is awesome. You get to ride a horse and you spend half the time as a wolf and it is just cool!!! That is if you are a Zelda fan. I have to agree with the Lego Star Wars game. DH also really enjoys the Star wars Force Unleashed. You are Darth Vadar's apprentice!!! Super cool.

A charger is also a must! We found ours at Costco. It was about $12.

yeah, what Darcy said! hehehee

The kids love, love, LOVE our Lego games (we have them for the XBox360, not the Wii, but the kids do love them! hehee). They play a LOT of the Wii Sports, and the Wii Play that came with it. Mario Galaxy is fun too.

My guys are really into Playground right now. They're 9 & 6, and get a real kick out the paper airplane races and slot cars. D

Devin's favorite game is Petz Dogs 2. It's a little odd, but he loves it. He also likes Mario Kart and Mario Party 8.

JP and Andrew are big fans of Lego Star Wars and some weirdo Godzilla game Andrew picked up for a couple bucks at Kohl's.

Wii Ski, Wii Sports, and My Sims are all popular here too.

Mario Galaxy is my all time favorite. Boom blox is really fun and kind of a "smart" wii game. We have the charger for the remotes and think it's very worthwhile. Those remotes EAT batteries. Seriously.

HANDS DOWN, the best Wii game I have played yet... RAYMAN RAVING RABBIDS TV PARTY!! A MUST HAVE GAME!!!! Seriously! This is the 3rd of the Raving Rabbids games and by far the best one but all three of them are super fun. This new TV Party one works with your Wii Fit though!

Well, since Mario Kart (which is my sons obsession), I will say we have fun (as a family) playing Carnival Games Mini Golf (we have the regular Carnival Games but haven't played it as much as the Mini Golf one because it is a bit hard for my kids - they are 4 years old) and we also love playing Mario Super Sluggers. For myself, I'm enjoying this African Safari game. I like this one so much that I'm thinking about getting Endless Ocean! We have Wii Music and it's a fun game when you want something different to putz around with along with American Idol (since I'm addicted to the show). My kids have fun with it and I love it because the judges tell me how great I am! HAHAHAHAAA!

We also just recently got the Energizer brand chargers. So far we like them.

Yes, get the charger. Wii play comes with an extra remote.

Abby loves Cosmic Family. It's hard to find, but it is one of the few games I've found that she can play completely by herself.

Mario Kart is the main game played at our house.
Good thing that one is on your list.

The other games that my younger kiddos like are:
Cooking Mama, Party Babyz (i think that's the name)

If you get a Wii fit, on the Wii shopping channel you can buy Tetris, and you use the balance board to move the pieces, SO much fun! My DH and I like Tetris. Also World of Goo, if you haven't played it on any other application. Totally adictive, cute graphics, kind of a physics-puzzle game where you have to build stuff with little goo balls. LOVE it.

Zelda Twilight Princess and Metroid are big ones in this house and of course sports, even my 2 yr old bowls and *thinks* she plays tennis.

We don't have a remote charger we just use recharable batteries and they work great.

I just had to ban Lego Star Wars because the kids have been playing it non stop for 2 solid weeks. It's a great game!

We rent most of our games from Blockbuster. Lego Indiana Jones was very popular, Ravening Rabbids, Boom Bloxs, and various dirt bike/monster truck racing games have all been enjoyed as well. I'd love to get Guitar hero but we have no room for the instruments.

The battery charger is a must have.

I'm a sucker for the Mario games, lol...we have Mario Party 8 and Mario & Sonic Olympic Games (this one is SOOOO fun, definitely recommend it...looks hilarious to watch people play it, too).

My SIL introduced me to Wii Play...that was fun, but she kicked my butt hardcore in all of the games. LOL!

We also like Guitar Hero...we have GH3 and Aerosmith...and eventually (once our Wii is fixed) we'll be getting World Tour.

OK, and PLEASE don't be one of these dads that says "the kids will learn not to touch it beause I told them to" and then leave it right in reach of your kids! My DH *refused* to put it up or away, and now it is wrecked because our 4-year-old decided it needed money put in the slot. It's ruined 4 of our games completely (they won't start even on anyone else's Wii's) and we can't put any games in it now without it scratching the heck out of them.

we opted not to get the charger and use rechargeable batteries instead.

We play Mario Kart constantly! Another family fave is Raving Rabbids, it is hilarious!! Super Mario Bash Bros or something along those lines. The kids have Spyro and Kung Foo Panda... I think KFP is a little difficult but spyro has been hours of fun for them. We got the Wii Play that came with the extra remote but I like Wii Sports a little better. I haven't opened Tomb Raider yet, dh and I had a little nostalgic fun playing House of the Dead with the zapper attachment.

I just bought Outdoor Challenge for my kids for Valentines today, it looks SOOOOO fun! I can't wait to try it with them. I also bought My Fitness Coach for myself because it had terrific reviews (even better than the Wii Fit).

If you like a quick thinking game that has LOTS of mini games, Wario Smooth Moves is a good one. I also like Mario Party 8.
