Default I'm all alone

Sigh.

I sent my kids off to school this morning, but what's different is, my baby goes full days this year, she's starting Grade 1.

I went for a run, so that took 45 min.

I need to shower, that'll take 30 min.

I need to go get something for dinner. That will take 30 min.

What else am I supposed to do? This is beyond weird.

I'd bake cupcakes and decorate them special as a special treat after their first day!

That's more like my day!!!

Jamie, I'm in the same boat now, my 2 are at school from 8.55 until 3.15 and apart from 1 and a half hours at the gym 4 days a week I have nothing to do, well I could do housework, but I'm in the mindset of 'until I get my wood flooring in 2 weeks time the house won't look better no matter what I do'

LOL. I've heard of that. If I had the option to stay at home, that's exactly what I'd be doing all day.

I got hooked on doing odd jobs for amazon's mechanical turk program. I think the address is www.mturk.com.

Some of them are simple (rewrite a sentence 3 times, look at a photo of a recipe and type it up). You have a certain amount of time in which to do the task, and you may only get 5 cents here and 10 cents there, but I have paid for my knitting looms just in doing odd jobs! It's payable either in Amazon gift cards or directly deposited into your bank account, so if you're an amazon junkie like I am, it helps counterbalance the addiction, or if you put it in your bank account, it's always extra SSD money

Just for today, I suggest doing nothing. Just sit down, relax and enjoy the quiet time. Worry about what you should be doing tomorrow.

Yeah, that! I know that when the time comes I won't be happy (and will probably have to trade SAHM-hood for a paying job ), but right now the idea of 3 in school sounds wonderful! I could have a clean house, workout, and make a good dinner. Of course, in reality I'd probably go to the gym once in a long while, clean once or twice a week, and scrap the rest of the time.

Yes, me too! It's weird enough with just one gone and I still have 2 at home. I can't even imagine!

Since I was late leaving school today (they had an assembly for the kids, and we were allowed to stay), I didn't have as much time as I will have!

I went for a run, got a shower, went to get a few groceries. And know what's lame? DH came with me to get a few groceries, then we went into his work for a bit (he's a cop). Everyone was laughing at us, like we were two lost souls with our kids gone all day

I love my kids, but I love my days of doing what I want, when I want.
