Main Street was THE focal point of the entire Colonial Williamsburg experience. This was where everything happened, where everything started. The declaration of independence of the original colonies from England was re-enacted, and the townspeople got in their character by dressing in colonial wear and speaking in Ye Olde Colonial English.
