Journaling: It’s really not been so bad living here. In fact, I kinda like it. I don’t mind dripping with sweat and not being able to afford to turn on the A/C. And the army of frogs preparing to attack from their home in the swamp behind our house is kind of nice because their continuous croaking drowns out the crowing contest being held by the roosters next door.
I mean, the rain & wind from the category 2 TYPHOON
blowing in through the windows at least cools the place off a bit, though it also floods the streets so the internet guys can’t get to our house...and we went 11freakin’ days without internet...and the sound on the t.v. stopped working...and the salesclerks outnumber the customers 10 to 1 at SM, and EVERY. SINGLE. ONE. OF.THEM. says “Good afternoon, Ma’am” to me and then stalks me while I shop...and the water pressure sucks rocks,so we have to take bucket baths...but at least the rats are playing chase in the ceiling and not in my bedroom.

But what really pushed me over the edge was waking up to a house full of wet laundry on Sat. morning because we don’t have a dryer and now our clothes are going to be crunchy once they finally get dry, which might just take for FREAKIN ever with this constant rain, and I can deal with rats and cockroaches and roosters and frogs, but apparently I just can’t take crunchy clothes.

These are our visa pics.
As in the pictures that
will be in our passports
and on our ID’s for the
next five years, people.
I didn’t have time to
put on make up or fix
my hair. The guy who
took them wouldn’t let us smile. He photo-
shopped our T-shirts out and replaced them
with these awful collared shirts. And to make
matters worse, he tucked my hair behind my
ears, as if to make me look like an elf, but not
a cute one like Legolas. Just an ugly elf. This man. He is the one who should be shot.
Oh dear, Kellie, what a week. You're such a good storyteller though and I totally enjoy reading your journaling. The story of the passports was quite funny. Love that title LOL! You did a fantastic job with the challenge and I dearly love it when you scrap!

I'm not sure if I should laugh or cry with you. I probably would be on strike by now. Hugs! On the upside, the layout about it all is fantastic.

oh wow - i agree with the above, i don't know whether to laugh or cry! LOL! the journaling here is fabulous - i am LOLing at the visa pics - photoshopped shirts ?!?! and it definitely sounds like you have your hands full living there - but i love your attitude! fabulous, fabulous job w/ the page!

You're a great storyteller, Kellie! I love all the titlework you did here.

I love how you chose a totally different style for each box and yet they feel so good together. I can see it's not been the best time for you, but you were able to translate it into a good layout at least.

Awesome page! Love the story it tells - and look at those cute baby girl pics!!

Oh goodness! Your journaling had me giggling and making sad faces the whole time. I love the witty feel of it, but dang girl - that is some crazy stuff to deal with. And then the passport photos - all I can think is what the heck!?!? What a moron!! Hope things get better!! And LOVE the layout design - I love that each square is like a layout all its own :)
