Journaling:
I never dreamed when I got braces at age 25 that it would have such an impact on the rest of my life. I was so fascinated every time I went into the office for an adjustment that I ended up making a career out of it myself! Now, after many years as a stay-at-home-mom, I'm working for an orthodontist. Most days I love my job. I get to talk to people all day, and it's really interesting work. What I don't love is the way Mondays make me feel. When that alarm goes off at 5am on Monday, I just want to cry. I know that I've got a long day ahead (7am - 6pm). Almost a year later, I'm still trying to find that balance between work and home, so Mondays make me grumpy. I don't feel like I'm ever caught up. Someone always needs something from me. It's rather overwhelming at times. Of course, my attitude completely changes on Thursday afternoons when we close for the weekend. Suddenly, I am reminded how much I love my job!
