Beautiful and so, so fun!! Ok I'm curious - so you hate maple donuts? When I used to be able to eat a donut a maple bar was my go-to, unless they had a great crispy looking apple fritter. I never thought about it. I wonder if it's because I don't remember us ever having syrup when I was young. Too poor for that fancy stuff? lol Because, yes, maple flavor would make sense for a donut. Maybe I should try one before saying, "ick!"
