JOURNALING: Beautiful afternoon at the Ballet! Staging and costuming were gorgeous. Leiland Charles was so athletic as Bluebird and Sumi Ichikawa embodied the Lilac Fairy in all her grace. The entrance of Carabosse (Rachael Parini) was very dramatic; loved her winged conveyance and her minions. Ms. Parini was retiring after this performance so she was honored at the curtain call with extra applause, a shower or roses, and a beautiful bouquet - a very special moment.
