Children read their nieuwjaarsbrief (New Years Letter) to their parents and their godmother and godfather.
It's basically the childrens wishes for the coming year.
They learn and write or create their nieuwjaarsbrief in school.
Afterwards they get money or a gift from their parents, godmother and godfather.
Since Finn is in school since November, he created and memorized his first nieuwjaarsbrief. (it's behind the QR code). Since he was a bit shy, I had to help.
