2. The first "Wendy's" opened 11/15/69 in Columbus. I was there.
3. "Field of Corn (with Osage Oranges)" is the official name of 109 6 foot tall ears of concrete corn in a field in the NW Columbus area. Unofficially, it is called "Cornhenge."
4. The first woman to fly solo (and in a single engine plane) around the world, Jerri Mock, began and ended her journey at Columbus Airport 3/19/64-4/17/64.
5. The first zoo-born gorilla, a girl named Colo, entered the world 12/22/56 at the Columbus Zoo.
