JOURNALING: 6/18/23 We had seen this fantastic mural on the side of a building in downtown Columbus and were intrigued. We were delighted to learn New Herring Productions, an independent theatre company we've been patronizing for a couple of years, will now be presenting their plays in this venue. The first one was on Father's Day. We attended the matinee.
Their first play in the new venue was "The Vagina Monologues", perfect for Pride month. It was great to see Michael Herring and learn about all of the support they have this year. We also got to meet his Golden, Bailey. We chose seats in the front row. Every cast member was excellent. I was moved by Vera Ryan Cremeans monologue "My Vagina is a Village". She was actually crying during it. Terra Miller's "They Beat the Girl Out of My Boy" was especially relevant in our world today.
