Layout made for January This Or That Challenge 5a - Wide Awake

Story about how my 10 month old son hasn't slept through the night 1 time. I get up several times a night to calm him down. He often sleeps with me. It is so exhausting since I work fulltime and I have to get up early in the morning.

Beautiful no photo page. I am sorry he isn't sleeping. My youngest didn't sleep either. I hope he figures out his schedule and gets in a routine. Love this new kit and the dreamy colors

This is beautiful! I love how you do your shadows - I think I need a tutorial from you! Maybe I should just PM you! =) I want to work on my clusters to be more PERFECT like yours! =)

I love your stitched rectangles and that lovely, like-I-can-touch-it cluster. Oh, I hope you get some more sleep soon!

My oldest didn't sleep a full night till he was one. My parents offered to babysit once in a while and hubby and I would book a night at a hotel just so we could get a full night's sleep. It's exhausting but he'll grow out of it, promise! Love your photo-less layout.

You ladies are the sweetest! Thank you for all the wonderful comments, words of advice, encouragement. It helps. More than you know!

@kelseyll: feel free to send me a pm. I'm happy to help.

Sleep deprivation is no fun! I hope his sleep patterns change soon. What worked for us was to try letting them cry a bit. They will usually go back to sleep on their own. At first it's painful to hear, but it's not harmful to cry (it's more distressing for the parents than the baby. Big hugs!!

Anyway, love your patterned paper choices! Super sweet page (despite the topic).

Oh no! I remember that. My first didn't sleep through the night until she was four and a half YEARS old. You'll get through this! Great job with the stitches and love that bokah background.

I love the dreamy colors - but I am so sorry you aren't getting the dreamy slumber. Your pages are always amazing!

For what it's worth we did the same as Sheri. When you know they are truly ok (not ill or caught on something etc after a quick check in), reassurance to go back to sleep and bearing through the tears as you teach them to fall back to sleep. In the end it's a gift for them to know how to self soothe and fall asleep or fall back to sleep.

Thank you all for the wonderful comments and more importantly the advice, ladies. Much much much appreciated. It means a lot to me and is so helpful.

@Krista and Sheri: We tried several times at different ages to let him cry it out. Unfortunately it doesn't help, he cries and he gets really upset. For hours.

We went to an osteopath last week and it helps. He sleeps in his own bed the entire night. I only have to get up a few times a night to rub his back or give his pacifier and he falls back asleep. I know, I still wake up and I still have to get out of bed, but my own night sleep is improving. So I call it a win for now.
