One of our biggest (Brazilian), greatest singer and song writers, Caetano Veloso, lived in London in exile for a few years in the late 60s and 70s (3 I think) he wrote a song whilst being here, in English, with the name London London. Is a gorgeous song, though am not sure his London resembles anything of the today's one, But the song is beautiful! you can hear it here :
