journaling (written in 2018) goes something like this: [I]Life teaches us on the way, and we, hopefully, learn the lessons that bring us to belief, understanding, faith, patience, values changing radically (or not) through the years, hearts that may last a season or a life time, but most become part of our own...I have found so many of those hearts both in my blood family and in my friends, in such a blessed manner, to the point that some of those hearts have no become our so loved family, in some cases with stringer ties than some of pour blood ones. At 6 month to go for the ring to announce my 60th year in this earth, life finds me with a hearts so full of gratitude (in so many ways, it would be impossible to list)a bit of pride and very, very few regrets, which I wouldn't change anyway as those brought me to where I am today, with a wonderful, very large, family a good number of amazing 40 plus years of friendships, some equally amazing 20 something years ones, some 10 years, some more recent, but all fill my heart with more of that gratitude, more love that could not be explained with words, and bring me to the knowledge that age being just a number, or maybe not, maybe as that number increases, more love and understanding, more wisdom and pride for the scars, eery fall that has taught us new beginnings so that there is nothing I can think that I could ask, well, yeah... maybe a new body, a relatively healthy one, so we can keep counting years, for me to see my baby marrying an amazing, hard working, respectful man that loves her, maybe seeing my baby's babies, that would be truly a great gift...![/I]
