I have the exact same problem. But when I read a book for the second time, the storyline comes back enough for me not to want to read it again. Project Hail Mary was an excellent book. I'm a big sci-fi fan. Love the book with the heart of letters and how you attached everything to the doodle across the page.
I love the design and I also can totally relate to your wish! LOL At least we can save some money by re-reading the same books over and over again, right?
