this is not the journaling. The system here rejects any symbols then deletes all credits, and I'm not well enough to type it all, I tried to find a font that was legible, but is a letter to my father.
The photos are of Sarita, my daughter, with my Dad, in 2014, last time we were able to travel to spend time with the family, tickets got too expensive and my Heart Failure plus mobility issues plus the the fact that we go to Brasil and Argentina and flights from London are 14 hours, the family got together to send my mum to us, but he couldn't travel, was already in his 80s. Silly me, I thought I was kind of prepared for them passing, with having been away from them for 40 years or so, but , proving that n0 matter how much you experience, how much you think you know...there is always a new lesson to be learned. He passed away in February 2018, exactly the day after I finished hosting an event that required a lot from my brain, I joked he waited because he knew I needed to be free of everything to honor him... he was a wonderful man, gave us a wonderful education, ahead of his time, a brilliant scientist, biochemist and researcher for both countries military on tropical diseases, but above all, the best man I have ever met, who supported me in every way, changes of profession, spiritual matters and the practicalities of succeeding in life whilst remaining honest and living with dignity. I am so glad he was 90 when he passed, grateful not only that I had him in our lives for so long, but mostly because Sarita had 22 years of him, most of which we were able to share holidays with the family in person, and for his last 15 years he learned how to use the computer so we had the marvel of talking more than once a week, sharing life ritually. I am also glad, grateful I was able to tell him many, many times, that I am who I am and proud of of being who I am because of him and my mum, and the wonderful extended family we have that allowed me to bring my daughter up with the same or event better values than those I grew up with
