I was so drawn to your beautiful layout and wow, what honest heart-wrenching journaling. Bravo on you. That must have been tough times for both you and your mum in different ways. While my heart says how can you not put your child first ever, my head knows that as adults we don't have magic wands and go through real issues that as kids we cannot understand. And sometimes we get by in ways we think are the only solution. As a Mum now, I just want to grab your younger self and give you a big hug.
Oh my dear Krista, I'm so so so sorry to read this. I'm so sorry you had such a hard and difficult childhood. This shouldn't have happened. You didn't deserve any of this!
You can be very proud of yourself. Of being the wonderful and hardworking person you are, despite everything you've been through as a child.
And I really think you should become a writer. You have such a pretty and easy writing style. You have a way of telling stories...
