This is stunning! That wood background is perfect for your oh-so-gorgeous journal book. Those clusters with the itty bitty foliage and the wings and all the butterflies...it's all sooo pretty! I'm sorry for the rough times. (HUGS)

A beautiful beautiful page about a troubling time... I love the clear journal card - totally unique!! The chevron wood bg is so perfect, as are the natural colors/elements and gold accents! Love the page, but I'm sorry this has been a more difficult time and she's had to stay out of class. Big hugs... I always find it helpful to ask why someone is being difficult - usually it's related to fear of something. I wonder if she's jealous of your relationship? or your happiness together? When I realize what the issue is, it's much easier to put myself in the person's shoes to try and find some grace for them rather than getting as upset myself. xoxo

Maloukes mom is from the Philipines, she has other values and another culture than people here.
Malouke wants to take dance lessons, but her mom refuses to let her go dancing. So Ward (my boyfriend, Maloukes dad) wants to try to convince her, why it is good for Malouke that she takes dance lessons. (learning something new, developing new skilss, getting more confident, meeting new people). But she doesn't want to understand that.
We understand that, when she was a child, she didn't have the opportunity to take dance lessons or do other activities, but that doesn't mean Malouke shouldn't have that opportunity.
And now with the schools being closed, she is acting more difficult about taking care of Malouke, because the whole situation with the dancing lessons.

Do you think the mom could be afraid of covid exposure and that's why she refuses that she takes dance lessons? It could be something else but if I were her right now I would have a hard time putting my kids in some activities. I'm already super pushing myself to let Augustine go to school two days a week because I worry so much...

Anyway, I'm so sorry this is hard on you all. I hope the conflicts resolve quickly.
