I'm someone who knows I can do anything necessary to make it through. I don't like the unknown, but if I know what I have to do I CAN manage, even with a smile on my face. I've kept my mood up with all that 2020/21 has been throwing at us - holding out hope that the pandemic and racial unrest would reset society, kind of like how 9/11 brought us back together stronger. I've been looking for those silver linings in the horror that is Covid-19. I try not to dwell in the reality of so much lost. The humans, the families, the economy, the small business owners, the time together. I've been accused of being overly optimistic, but I really thought that our country had it in us to rally together and renew our patriotism, to work together for the greater good. That has not happened, but I still hope. I guess that is one thing about me - I don't give up looking for the good. I know people are good and I know we have more in common than what separates us. We can do it!
