begins on Aug 27, 1970...at 10:35 am at the Medical College of VA. I was 8 lbs 2 oz and 20 inches long. Great Aunt Mary Jane picked mom & I up on Aug 29th. We lived with a friend of mama’s, Carolyn, until she could get her own little apartment in Richmond. Mama went to work as a “server” at a local restaurant called the “Bull Pen”. My birth father is not on my birth certificate because he decided he did not want to be tied down on the weekends after I was born. So my mom decided it was all or nothing...then her and daddy got married on Mar 17th, 1972. Daddy taught me to walk at 10 months before he left for Vietnam in 1971. Mama & Daddy were high school sweethearts and had actually had 2 children before me that they had to give up for adoption. But in the long run, it worked out well for us all and in 1995 I was reunited with my brother, Ty and sister, Yvonne. Yvonne and I,even though we live on opposite coasts, talk on a weekly somet- imes daily basis.
