I made my first sock bun in preparation for a Blackmore's Night concert. It was meant to match my Renaissance dress (not the one in the picture, I wore that to work on the day of the concert since you can't work in Renaissance attire, obviously). In the end it had more success at work, because it was raining during the concert (what else, it's Luxembourg).
