- Journaling reads: Normally I don’t mind hot weather. I’ve lived in the South all my life, and it’s just a normal part of summer. Here lately, however, the temperatures have just been out of control. This is a screen shot of the local weather forecast. Triple digits and lows in the mid-seventies?! Total craziness! Add in the heat index and humidity, and spending anytime outdoors is next to impossible. It’s simply miserable, and I certainly wouldn’t mind a break from the heat!
