- Journaling reads: While the Juniors in your Girl Scout troop were working on the Sky Search journey, we attended Family Earth and Sky Night at the Ruth Patrick Science Education Center. There were several fun, hands-on activities featuring celestial objects, solar system events, and the seasons. We also got to visit with the animals and see a Planetarium Show, “To the Moon and Beyond.” The highlight of the night was going up on the roof and stargazing through the giant telescope. We saw the moon and Saturn--complete with rings!
